I thought my life was worn out, Fully torn out of its place. My mind burned out so slowly, I was solely to blame. But when she first appeared before me, I felt a sense of purpose surfacing to set me free She’s everything I want right now; I feel my life unfalling apart. Don’t know what’s happening to me. Doesn’t even matter where we end up ‘cause this feels just like art. Just seeing her changed the world for me. I find time, sometimes hours, Just to call her every day. I don’t mind, it’s so odd, I never thought I’d act this way. And I don’t think I’m thinking clearly, And as the days pass by, I find that I am more sincere She’s everything I want right now; I feel my life unfalling apart. Don’t know what’s happening to me. Doesn’t even matter where we end up ‘cause this feels just like art. Just seeing her changed the world for me. We’re gonna change the world! I’ve had several close encounters, Sad, Pristine, Cathartic, Tragic, Beautiful, But none like this. I’ve never felt more comfortable to exist. She’s everything I want right now; I feel my life unfalling apart. Don’t know what’s happening to me. Doesn’t even matter where we end up ‘cause this feels just like art. Just seeing her changed the world for me. (2X) After a cold quarter century, Being an asteroid, just floating debris, I felt the heat from her celestial body, And now she’s terraforming me.

You say it’s not your job to complain, But that’s exactly what you do. Don’t have a brain for monetary gain, The criticism gets you through the day. I won’t do any more than I have to, So I especially won’t do anything for you, Except for this: Hypocritical and Cynical, You Break Me Down, Make me the catalyst for everything you’ve ever frowned upon, I’m everything you’ve ever wanted to be, right? I never said it, but I never really meant it ‘til now. You say that every day is the same, But your opinions never change. Don’t have the sense for seeking recompense; Everyone’s plans can’t rearrange around (you). (You) cannot save your piss-poor reputation. A laundry list of mistakes, saying sorry will never erase them. Good thing you quit! Hypocritical and Cynical, You Break Me Down, Make me the catalyst for everything you’ve ever frowned upon, I’m everything you’ve ever wanted to be, right? I never said it, but I never really meant it ‘til now. Yeah I’m pretty selfish, I’m downright helpless, But at this point I think I’d be better off on my own. Don’t know how else to say it, So I’ll just say it again. We’re done, it’s over. I bet you won’t believe this is the …(end).

Office Party 02:38
Faking jokes, Forcing laughs, Everybody’s happy outside, Everybody’s mad Inside there’s Cake, That’s just great. Salary’s can pay this, not a measly hour rate. Small Talk and Proper Etiquette, We say, “The food is great!”, while nobody touches it. All Politics, Semantics (some antics), Don’t say the wrong the thing, Or else reality will hit this party, Nobody can help when I scream, “I’ve crossed the line!” No wait, I’m fine. I’ve had a little too much wine tonight, but I, I hate you guys! Your boring lives! And I’m too drunk for lies tonight. Guys talk sports, Girls talk clothes. Let’s stick to the stereotypes that everybody knows. Let’s know our place, not use haste. That young temp’s been drinking and it’s really a disgrace. White Lies will get us through the night. We’ll go back to sleep when this office kills the lights. All ignorance, passiveness, there’s no problems here… In fact, we fired that drunk temp ‘cause what he said was filling us with undue fear. “I’ve crossed the line!” No wait, I’m fine. I’ve had a little too much wine tonight, but I, I hate you guys! Your boring lives! And I’m too drunk for lies tonight. And as I stumble on this ledge, Nobody saves me. This office floor will be my bed, Don’t try and wake me. Goodnight coworkers! Goodnight society! Don’t wake me… DON’T WAKE ME!

We’ve sprung a leak, we’ve frayed the seams And now we’re no longer weak; we’ve reached a peak of power. “What held them up was tearing us down,” - a deafening chorus from the underground. Who is to say we’re not all living in fright? If we cannot have a say then what we need is a fight. Ashes to dust again, Our morals are on trial, You can’t deny we live in denial. Damaged and busted, The trust cannot be trusted. How long can this go on? ‘The Greater Good’ and other fabrications, Constant review and evaluations. Rules are upheld by men holding guns. The most abhorrent are the lucky ones. Who is to say we’re not all living in fright? If we cannot have a say then what we need is a fight. Ashes to dust again, Our morals are on trial, You can’t deny we live in denial. Damaged and busted, The trust cannot be trusted. How long can this go on? Life would be totally twisted, If we all didn’t care, We must be willing to risk it, We have to throw it away. How do I know? How do I know if I’m wrong or I’m right When I can’t stay where I am but I’m unwilling to fight? Ashes to dust again, Our morals are on trial, You can’t deny we live in denial. Damaged and busted, The trust cannot be trusted. How long can this go on?
